Hi guys ! Im back again... Final year project starts soon, and according to my supervisor, I did a great job on the proposal presentation :-D Well, I was a bit shaky at first, but then, things started to settle down, and I felt as if I own the world ! Haha ! What a typical feeling ~ And I had just started to work on quotations for chemicals from Sigma, Merck, and those chemical vendors... Hopefully things get easy with a clear quotation... Thousand apologies for being missing in action.. for I'm really at a busy state.. Yes I have not graduated, and the time comes when I'll be celebrating graduation in the month of August this year.. am really looking forward to it.. MEanwhile, I'm spelling the word "Busy" all the time, and I just can't stop hating Midterms, Assignments, Bench works, and Final Year Project... Wait a minute.. Did I just mentioned Final Year Project ? Oh yes oh yes.. it's giving me a full time headache.. Final Year Project is on, and to my surprise, I got to choose 3 topics out of a total of nine.. I made my choices, two involving optimization of growth, and the third one, involving Polymerase Chain Reaction.. It was a tough decision... And the verdict ? I got my first choice ! Yay ! It's about optimization of growth of oil degraders.. Interesting? Some said boring, some mentioned exciting, some even hinted 'straight forward and fairly simple'... I have no say... Oh well, gotta get to work now.. it'll be a loooong semester (well at least I felt so..) with so much work... Time flies... Call me lazy, but I still prefer procrastination... HI GUYS ! Attachment was fun.. I get to learn how to cope with various work environments, and the proper method in troubleshooting.. Various departments in the hospital was I attached to, and I find my interest in the microbiology, histopathology, and cytopathology departments. Dr Micheal Jesudason was generous enough to offer me guidelines which gave a clearer picture on my future undertakings. Well, this was what he said - Graduate with my bachelor's honour degree next year in the month of August, and do a Masters in my favourite discipline (in this case, i would be very much happy to do a Master in cytology...) under supervision of Prof. Dr. Janet Cox and Prof. Dr. Balby Singh. After that, with some written articles, I shall proceed to Perth to do a PhD, and proceed to CDC. Well, what should I say ? A perfect arrangement ? Or will I be sad to leave ?

HI GUYS ! A few emails were received from my fellow readers concerning my recent condition. Thank you ! I'm more than fine :-) The reason I had been missing in action was that I had been away for attachment in another hospital. There was a time when I had hemophobia, and couldn't bear the stink of exposed blood as well as the appearance of exposed body cavities.. Well i guess time changes not only one's mind, behavior, and decision, but perception as well... What do I mean ? You see.. I went to the operation room one day to assist Dr. Micheal Jesudason in obtaining a piece of breast tissue for frozen section, which was to be done in the lab for I guess 20 minutes. I thought I couldn't even look at the patient, but heck, I did ! Another sight was with the bone marrow aspiration as well as the fine needle aspiration. Boy it was interesting ! I could see that patients with all types of leukemia suffer a lot.. Guys, don't ever try to expose yourself too much to chemicals and radiations. One of the common cause of leukemia is routine exposure to radiation causing an aberation in the chromosome genetic sequence.
